CBM's work in Haiti has been recognized in the UN Enable CBM's work in Haiti has been recognized in the most recent "UN Enable" Newsletter. "CBM, an international development organization, is working with 12 partners in Haiti , five of which are in Port Au Prince, the capital city. Their emergency coordinator and regional staff are now on the ground assisting with emergency efforts and assessing the situation. They have a three-part emergency response plan in place and are pulling together resources from across the world to meet the needs of persons with disabilities in disaster. CBM has been recognized as a professional organization for persons with disabilities by the World Health Organization and has Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council."
