Ernst Christoffel headed to Turkey over 100 years ago and had his heart broken by "nobody's children" – children who couldn't see, who couldn't hear, who couldn't walk, children who were begging on the streets, overlooked by the church and society.
Christoffel left his work as a pastor to minister to these children.
Why? The answer for Christoffel was, "The love of Christ leaves me no choice!"
CBM US exists today to continue Christoffel's sermon of love – to be the hands and feet of Christ. CBM US exists today to bring hope and healing to some of the poorest children and families in the world – children and families trapped in poverty and disability. CBM US exists today to answer real need and with real solutions for those society has largely left behind.
Our answer is the same as Christoffel's... "The love of Christ leaves us no choice!"
