Letter from CEO, Ron NaborsDear CBM Friend,
Thank you for your interest in CBM. If you’re here on our website, it’s because we share a mutual interest—a passion for helping those often overlooked by society. As you browse through our website pages, you’ll find a wealth of information about CBM’s mission, history, and projects. And, as you read the stories of people whose lives have been transformed, you’ll begin to understand just what sets CBM apart from other organizations. For more than 100 years, CBM has provided loving service to people with disabilities living in some of the world’s most disadvantaged communities. From our modest beginnings as a home for blind children in Turkey, to our world-wide outreach to more than 17 million people today, CBM continues to change lives for the better through medical intervention, education, rehabilitation, micro-finance, and much more. Through your faithful partnership, we are making a profound, lasting impact. This is precisely what makes CBM unique. We believe in providing a real, sustainable way for those we serve to improve their lives. Rather than offering a band-aid or a temporary solution, we examine the ways in which we can empower these individuals, changing perceptions and allowing them to become agents of change within their communities. We help people with disability become included in their families and communities rather than being excluded and forgotten. Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, teachers, professionals, and philanthropists—like you and I—help CBM touch countless lives every year. As a Christian organization, we are committed to following Jesus’ footsteps through our actions and core values. We strive to be good stewards, serving people in need regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or religion. I hope you’ll consider making a gift today. You’ll deliver compassion, quality of life, and opportunity to those who need it most. Thank you for your generous partnership.
