What is Glaucoma?
Glaucoma is a condition in which the optic nerve is gradually damaged by pressure building up in the eye. Since it has no symptoms, it can easily go unnoticed until it finally results in a serious loss of vision. This is particularly true in the developing world, where people in impoverished rural communities seldom get the diagnostic testing needed to identify glaucoma in its early stages.
How CBM helps
CBM works to provide the simple diagnostic testing needed in the rural communities of the developing world. Early diagnosis allows effective treatments that prevent blindness from glaucoma.
