Programs
The mission of CBM's work is to support people with visual, hearing, physical, or intellectual disabilities in the poorest countries of the world.
We work closely with organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) to understand where the greatest needs are and develop initiatives like VISION 2020, with the goal of eliminating world blindness by the year 2020. We are doing our part to prevent an estimated 100 million people from becoming blind.
CBM works in four major ways: Prevention, Treatment, Education/Rehabilitation and Economic Empowerment. In everything that we do, our goal is to have a sustainable impact for each life we touch. Some of the areas we work in are:
